In late June, the MLBPA sponsored and participated in the 53rd annual Society for American Baseball Research (SABR) Convention in Dallas. Special Assistant Steve Rogers and former MLBPA Executive Director Don Fehr took part in a panel reflecting on the 50th anniversary of the landmark decision by arbitrator Peter Seitz that paved the way for free agency in Major League Baseball, and why that decision continues to pay dividends for Players today.
