The 34th annual Players Choice Awards winners will be announced Wednesday during a special appearance on CBS Mornings.
The awards recognize on-field excellence with honors for Outstanding Rookie, Player, Pitcher, and Comeback Player in each league, along with the Player of the Year for both the American and National Leagues. The announcement will also highlight off-the-field impact, honoring recipients of:
Marvin Miller Man of the Year, recognizing the Player whose leadership inspires others to greater achievement.
Philanthropist of the Year, celebrating the Player who demonstrates exceptional generosity and positive social impact beyond the game.
Curt Flood Award, honoring a former Player, living or deceased, who showed lifelong devotion to the Players Association and the advancement of Players’ rights.
Since 1992, Major Leaguers have honored their peers’ on- and off-field achievements through the Players Choice Awards, voted exclusively by active MLB Players. Players cast their ballots in clubhouses in September, with KPMG auditors overseeing the process. The Players Choice Awards hold special meaning because the winners are chosen by the Players, for the Players.
Congratulations to all the exceptional winners on outstanding seasons, and thank you to all the Players who voted and took part in celebrating their peers.
